what hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?

There’s life outside of work?

where is your favorite place in the world?

I have been fortunate to visit every continent (Antarctica in Dec. 2021) and found that everywhere has unique beauty, creatures, cultures, and terrain.  There are so many wonderful locals that I could not pick one favorite place.

what would you do if you won the lottery?

I would give most of the money away. 

aside from the necessities, what is one thing you could not live without?

Books.  Tomes of knowledge, sources of entertainment, and history recorded.

how old were you when you learned santa wasn't real?

Santa is not real!!!!   Judging from the current state of society, maybe he should be.

WHAT weird food combination do you enjoy?

Peanut butter and sweet pickles on white bread.  You can thank my father for that.  

what is the best vacation you have been on?

Africa.  Victoria Falls to Cape Town, safari in east Africa.  Beautiful, wonderful people, and amazing animals.

if you had a time machine, would you go back in time or into the future?

Why pick only history or the future?  There are so many questions about the past to see and understand.  And the future…. I look at the marvels in my lifetime and am fascinated by what amazing changes will happen in the coming years.  Nope, I want it all: Dinosaurs, Persia, Egypt, Athens, Rome, Normandy, Incas, Mars…
