ACAM-CEO Board Position

Below are the basic details of the time commitments and other obligations:
Time commitment:
  • Weekly Board meetings (by video call) as we continue to navigate our way through COVID (some weeks there are not decisions needed and the meeting is canceled).   Meetings are generally 60-minutes long.
  • In-person Board meetings occur twice per year (following the Mindshare event and one other time for a pre-event planning meeting on-site for the upcoming event).
  • Each Board member takes the lead on key areas of the event (marketing, speakers, sponsorship, and evening events). You can expect to spend an average of 10 hours per month, some months more, some less.
  • For the conference itself, the Board is expected to arrive on Sunday the week of the event to assist in setting up the event and responding to any last-minute details.  
  • Board members are expected to stay at the event through Thursday to facilitate a post-event, in-person wrap-up meeting.
Financial commitment
  • Board members pay for their travel and expenses for both the site meeting and the Mindshare event.There will be a reduced room rate at the hotel for Board members for both the site meeting and the Mindshare event.
Terms
  • Each appointed position serves for two years and may resign at any time. You may serve multiple terms.

Qualifications: 
  • The Board includes three managers and three business partners.  Appointees must fall into one of those categories to remain eligible; if the appointee’s category changes mid-term, the remaining members reserve the right to determine whether the appointment should continue or if another individual meeting the category should be appointed.
