We are thrilled to announce that applications for board members are now open! This is an incredible opportunity to contribute your expertise and insights to ACAM-CEO's growth and success. We currently have two open positions for Management Company Executives and one open position for a Business Partner. Please review the qualifications below.

Qualifications
The Board consists of four (4) management company executives and three (3) business partners sponsors (must be a current sponsor of ACAM-CEO) who serve a three-year term. Appointees must fall into one of those categories to remain eligible; if the appointee’s category changes mid-term, the remaining members reserve the right to determine whether the appointment should continue or if another individual meeting the category should be appointed. Applicants must have attended at least 1 MindShare Retreat to be considered.

Responsibilities of Individual Board Members
The Board consists of four (4) management company executives and three (3) business partners sponsors (must be a current sponsor of ACAM-CEO) who serve a three-year term. Appointees must fall into one of those categories to remain eligible; if the appointee’s category changes mid-term, the remaining members reserve the right to determine whether the appointment should continue or if another individual meeting the category should be appointed. Applicants must have attended at least 1 MindShare Retreat to be considered.
Time Commitment
- Weekly or bi-weekly Board meetings (by video call). Board of Directors to determine frequency and date/ time of routine meetings annually at Organization Meeting. Meetings are generally 45-60-minutes long.
- In-person Board meetings may occur twice per year (immediately following the Mindshare event and one other time for a 1-2 day, pre-event planning meeting on-site for the upcoming event), or as determined by the Board.
- Each Board member takes the lead on key areas of the event (marketing, speakers, sponsorship, etc.). You can expect to spend an average of 10 hours per month, some months more, some less.
- For the conference itself, the Board is expected to arrive 2 days before the event to assist in setting up and responding to any last-minute details.
- Board members are expected to stay until the day after the event ends to facilitate a post-event, in-person wrap-up meeting and pack-up, or as otherwise determined.
- Board Members may be asked to attend a site visit to plan future events. The President is required to attend all site visits.
Financial Commitment
- Board members pay for their travel and expenses to annual ACAM-CEO Mindshare Conference. There will be a reduced room rate at the hotel for Board members at the Mindshare Retreat. Management company affiliated board members may have conference fee waived at the discretion of the board.
- Upon yearly budget approval, Board member hotel rooms (room and tax) during site visits are paid by ACAM-CEO with approval of the Board of Directors. Board members are responsible for all other travel related expenses for site visits.
Responsibilities of Individual Board Members
- Attend all board and designated committee meetings unless an excused absence is arranged with the President in advance.
- Prepare for board and committee meetings by reviewing the meeting agenda and supporting materials.
- Be informed about ACAM-CEOs mission, events, speakers, and programs.
- Lead a key area of the event (i.e., marketing, speakers, sponsorship, etc.).
- Serve on committees or task forces and offer to take on special assignments.
- Attend the annual MindShare Retreat (arriving 2 days before the event and leaving 1 day after the event, unless otherwise specified).
- Attend at least 4 Tuesday Talks per year.
- Moderate sessions at the MindShare Retreat.
- Moderate Tuesday Talks.
- Inform others about the ACAM-CEO. Advocate for ACAM-CEO.
- Assist the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities, such as reviewing the financial statements.
